This would be a nice feature for making it faster to start from a "template" note that can be dropped into new columns or the same column.
It would make adding section dividers in columns faster, too, with the option to tweak the content or leave it the same.
Examples:

"---------------------"
"· · · · · · · · · ·"

By the way, we also plan to ship a lot of additional improvements for notes. It was mainly a bit of an experiment for now (notes and tasks) but it seems to be pretty useful.
There's a tone we can do to really make it worth using, you will likely notice a bunch of small improvements over time.

I completely agree, in the new update you will notice a few changes in the column/card settings. It won't be updated for tasks or notes just yet, but I will make sure to work on that next and we will add this as an option.
This is exactly why we are going with this redesign actually because in the future we will be able to easily add the option to choose from templates or anything else we believe would be worth adding.
By that, I mean going with this change from the screenshots below.
